2019 Jeep Wrangler Off-Roading Capabilities
The 2019 Jeep® Wrangler is the ultimate off-road SUV. It has been specially designed to give drivers an advantage off the beaten path and boasts a number of crucial performance technologies that improve the experience of off-roading.
Jeep Trail Rated Features
Every 2019 Wrangler has earned a Jeep® Trail Rated® badge based on how the SUV performed during complicated tests on challenging terrains. Specifically, the Wrangler is Trail Rated® for traction thanks to its multiple 4x4 systems; water fording, with sealed electrical connections, moisture-resistant body openings, and a high air intake; excellent maneuverability to get around whatever obstacles stand in your way, via its optimized wheelbase and precision steering system; articulation and a good suspension; and a high ground clearance and rugged skid plates to protect the underbody, including crucial components like the fuel tank and transfer case.
The 2019 Jeep® Wrangler offers three 4x4 systems for improved performance off-road: Selec-Trac® 4x4 to automatically shift between 2WD and 4WD as needed; Command-Trac® 4x4 with a shift-on-the-fly system for rock crawling and neutral for available flat towing; and Rock-Trac® 4x4, standard on Rubicon models for noteworthy off-road performance.
