2020 Ford Escape Preview | Cooperstown, NY
The all-new 2020 Ford Escape rolls out with four powertrain choices, an updated interior, and a sleek new style. Check out what you can expect in the upcoming redesigned Ford Escape, available soon at Kevin’s Royal Auto in Cooperstown.
The Ford Escape made history as the world’s first hybrid SUV. Now it’s changing the roads once again with a pair of new hybrid options.
SE Sport and Titanium models feature an all-new 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle hybrid engine and electronic CVT. It generates an inspiring 198 horsepower and can hit 85 mph in electric-only mode. A plug-in hybrid powertrain is also available on most Ford Escape trims. It features a best-in-class EPA-estimated 30-mile electric-only range.* Hybrid models feature four different EV modes to give drivers options like electric-only operation and battery conservation.
The new Escape also offers two gas engine options: a 2.0-liter EcoBoost® that gets 250 horsepower and a 1.5-liter EcoBoost® that gets 180 horsepower.
The 2020 Ford Escape boasts sliding second-row seats and best-in-class second-row legroom for models equipped with gas engines. Setting the second-row seats to full forward position brings cargo space up to 37.5 cubic feet. Hybrid models see a slight drop in cargo capacity, but the battery is located below the second-row seats to maintain space in the cargo hold.
The 2020 Ford Escape comes with a wide range of smart technologies to make each ride safe, connected, and customizable. Each model is equipped with standard Ford Co-Pilot360™ safety features. Newly available features include Active Park Assist 2.0 and Evasive Steering Assist. Also available for the Titanium trim: a new head-up display that projects important information on a 6-inch screen so drivers can keep eyes on the road. For infotainment, an 8-inch touch-screen display comes standard on SE models and above. The available SYNC® 3 infotainment system offers Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and Waze navigation. The Escape also offers customizable modes for normal driving, green driving, sporty performance, and slippery or snowy weather.
*Actual range will vary. Final EPA-estimated ratings available later in the 2019 calendar year.
