Dodge Charger and Jeep Wrangler Win 2019 Residual Value Awards from ALG
Two of Fiat Chrysler’s top models recently won 2019 Residual Value Awards from ALG, gaining recognition for their long-term worth and reliability.
ALG, the industry authority on automotive residual value projections in both the United States and Canada, chose the Dodge Charger as the recipient for the Residual Value Award for the full-size car segment. The Jeep® Wrangler took home the award for the off-road utility segment.
The Dodge Charger received the accolade for the fifth year in a row. It’s easy to see why. The Charger is the fastest sedan in the world with the available 5.7-liter HEMI® V8, but also offers V6 powertrains for better efficiency. Along with its TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, the Dodge muscle car also features AWD capability. Customers can choose from six different models.
“As a niche player in the segment, the Dodge Charger offers the best of both worlds with the comfort of a full-size sedan and the power of a muscle car,” said ALG Senior Vice President Eric Lyman.
The Jeep® Wrangler took the ALG award for the second year in a row. The current model builds on its iconic legacy by updating technology and connectivity, adding new levels of safety features, offering a more comfortable interior, and providing new powertrain options like a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that provides even better performance and fuel efficiency.
“Jeep® has a long and successful history in off-road utilities and the Wrangler adds function and comfort, adding new technology and powertrain offerings,” said Lyman.
To select the winners, ALG took into account a wide variety of factors, including vehicle performance over time, industry trends, marketing and pricing strategies, and comparisons to other segment competitors.
